Why did you join Clear Rate?
I first encountered Clear Rate by accident. Then, after looking into the company, I realized that it would be interesting to learn more. After meeting with Erik Kubs, I felt being a part of CRC would be a welcomed challenge and the exact kind of workplace I'd been looking for.
What's your favorite part of your job?
I love being able to provide our customers with new products and customizing everything to be just right for them.
Who inspires you and why?
One of the people that inspires me within Clear Rate is Erik Kubs. I say that because he's always looking to help people succeed. Erik has provided me with support in good and bad times, and always has my back. Even when I've made mistakes, he has helped me learn ways to improve my work and prevent missteps from happening in the future. Erik is a true leader.
How have you helped customers?
I work in Service Delivery, which means we take an order once it is placed, organize the programming details, and schedule with the customer. We also gather the data for our Network Team, as well as coordinate with our Network Team and a field tech to provide installation and product training for our customers. The training portion is where I feel like I provide the most assistance to our customers. I ask them use their system and then follow up with any questions they may have. If necessary, I'll schedule another meeting to help walk them through.
What's one thing - industry-related or not - you learned in the last month?
One thing I learned last month was more about how routing our systems works. This means I now know what equipment is needed and what is being removed when we are transitioning off of one system, such as T1, and moving over to another, like Bring Your Own Bandwidth. This has helped me to better understand what will provide an improved migration for the customer.
Now tell us some fun facts about you? Your hobbies, interests etc?
I have two wonderful sons who are Eagle Scouts as well as two super loving, and hairy, dogs—a German Shephard and a wooly coat Siberian Husky. I also enjoy riding motorcycles. I have two Harleys, one of which is in the middle of getting a makeover. I'm anxious for that to complete!
